Globalization is the main aspect of modern economic systems, it’s one of the most influential forces that determine the future progress of the world. Globalization can be seen in all aspects of political life, social life, culture, security, and economy. In the past few decades, different sources of globalization can be observed. One of them is the technological progress that brought a drastic decrease in the cost of communication, transport utilities, and the way we process and store information. Modern transportation allows quick transportation of goods between countries and continents that in the long run influences political decisions that governments make.

The second source of globalization is the liberalization of trade and other forms of economic liberalization that bring out limitations in political protectionism that make global trade freer. As a result of this, tariffs and many other barriers to trade in goods and services have been eliminated. Other liberal means were taken to increase the free movement of capital and other factors of production.

The third and one of the main sources of globalization is the phenomena of transnationalism in the framework of which a big portion of production, demand, consumption, export, import, and income of countries is dependent on the decisions of international organizations that are beyond
the borders of any given state. The main moving force in this source is the transnational corporations that themselves are the result and the main actor of globalization. With the appearance of global production facilities, international conflicts to a significant degree shifted to an intracorporeal level and we can witness the “fight” not between states for territory but rather between corporations that fight each other for a share in the global market. Those that oppose globalization believe that this brings a threat to the authority of power and sovereignty of independent states.

More broad perspectives and opportunities are equally opened up in noncommercial organizations with the help of globalization. With the result of globalization, various international organizations came to life such as the UN, World Trade Organization, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, etc. With this path, multi-international enterprises and other organizations, both private and state-owned, became the main face of global politics and economics. The fourth source is cultural progress. To be specific it’s the birth of global mass media, the creation of social networks, global institutes of art and culture, the rapid use of English as the main language to communicate. Due to this, opposers of globalization view globalization as an attempt by the United States to gain cultural, political, and economical control. In other words, they view it as a new form of imperialism or a new stage of ultimate capitalism. Others see globalization as a new form of colonialism that has the main actor, the USA.

In conclusion, I want to underline that global cooperation to resolve world issues that arise from globalization needs to be based on building international institutes in all aspects of social life. This is the only way to decrease the negative effects that globalization brings together with the vast amount of benefits for mankind.
